Cowes Medina Bowling Club have recently held their Presentation Evening at Cowes Community Club. It was very well attended and Darren Griffith was their Guest of Honour who presented the awards. Darren and his partner Jack Berry reached the finals of the National Pairs this year.

The A Team came runners-up in Division One and were also runners-up in the Ridett Cup and reached the semi-final of the L.C. Guy Shield.

The B Team ended their season in Division One very strongly which meant they kept their place in this league.

The C Team made great progress and finished a creditable fourth in Division Two, only two points behind the eventual winners.

The D Team came runners-up in the afternoon league Division One and also won the Harris Cup.

The Ladies re-enforced their league position and welcomed several new players to their squad.

Fred Sly, the outgoing President of Cowes Medina, thanked all members and wished the Club continued success.

Graham Thorne, Social Secretary, commented, ”We are a Club moving in the right direction. We are attracting new members all the time and are always looking for new bowlers. We are a very sociable club, and will be holding various events to raise Club funds, and also to keep the Club spirit moving forward.”
