Hi Folks
As you know, Bowls England and Bowls Isle of Wight have contacted clubs about games due to be played in the very hot weather that we are having at the moment. They have advised that games might want to be moved from afternoons to mornings or evenings when it is slightly cooler.
There are quite a few of us who are now looking to arrange internal competitions. At present, our green is available from 10am on weekends BUT is only available from 12 noon on weekdays, due to work that is done by Rob and others in the mornings, e.g. the green is cut every Monday, Wednesday & Friday Morning and a group work on the green on Thursday mornings. In addition, we have Andy Butler’s workforce coming down on some mornings to do major work on the green.
However, if you feel it is necessary to have a game in the morning, please do not arrange anything and just turn up expecting
to play without consulting Rob or me first, when we could possibly work something out.
N.B. League and Cup Games take precedence over Roll ups or Internal Competitions.
Could Captains please consult with Rob or me first if League or Cup Games have to be rearranged to check that the date and time is still available.
