Hi Folks
You will have noticed in your Fixture Booklets that we are hosting 7 Touring Teams at the end of August & beginning of September. In fact, we have got 6 games in 8 days!! Then one more game a week later.
Therefore, we need as many people as possible to put your names down to play in these, rather than relying on the same few Members again & again. We appreciate that people who are working will not be able to play in most of the games but there are games on Saturdays & Sundays when you might be available.
Don’t forget that there only 3 League Games in total in September, so you might not have any other games that month. If you don’t want to or cannot play in them all, then you could possibly have a rest from playing & make the Teas/Coffees so that the usual organisers of these can play instead!
These would be ideal games for our newest Associate Members to play in also – it gives you the experience of playing in a competitive game without them being ‘too serious’ & lets you meet our other Club Members!
I will put up the sheet tomorrow (Monday) for you to sign up your name & tick off which games you can play. If you are happy to make the teas, just put a T in that column instead of a tick.
These Touring Games bring in the major Income for our Club, which keeps our Membership Fees down, & money to spend on the many planned projects to improve the Club, so please put your name down, even if you have not done so far this season.
