Hi Folks
I emailed you recently to let you know that our defibrillator was almost out of battery and we had been advised that it would be better to buy a new machine, as the old one is out of warranty and could break down completely at any moment.
I am delighted to inform you that we now have a new defibrillator in our clubhouse (in the same position, next to the men’s changing room door) at a cost of £800 and would like to thank all of you who have made a donation towards the new machine.
Steve Read, who has done a vast amount of work around the island to encourage businesses and clubs to install them, has registered the defibrillator on our behalf and will check it on a regular basis.
TRAINING: Steve has offered to organise training for those who would like to be involved. I know that a number of us have already received training some years ago (but might need a refresher?) and some have received training in other organisations, but the more the better it is for the club.
Therefore, he has suggested that just before the new season starts would be a good time to do it. I will send out more information nearer the date to find out who will be interested.
Cheers
Brian
