Just back from sunny Scotland so thought you would be missing my emails! I have spoken to Rob Poynter, our green co-ordinator, about the state of our green.
Rob has asked me to let you know that, as predicted at last week’s meeting, the green is still very wet and soft. Although the weather has been good over the last few days, more rain is forecast every day this coming week, SO IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO OPEN THE GREEN FOR PRACTICES/ROLL-UPS UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. Rob will make a further decision on Thursday.
In addition, the green has again been aerated, fertilised and over-seeded, so it needs time to bed in. I will let you have any further news as soon as I know.
